VXL signs Computerlinks for European push
Move reflects VXL’s ambitious growth projections
Munich, Germany, 15th December 2005 — VXL Instruments, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Windows based Terminals and thin client devices, has entered into a distribution agreement with Computerlinks AG to supply VXL equipment to the markets of Central Europe, Italy and Hungary. Computerlinks are a leading value added distributor with particular strengths in e-security and e-business. Computerlinks will offer VXL’s entire range including the Itona series of thin client devices with embedded Windows XP, Linux and Windows CE operating systems, the thin client notebook range and the XLmanage suite of remote management software. This move will further raise VXL’s profile in the growing European thin client market and enable Computerlinks to deliver more choice and value to its reseller customers.
VXL is committed to growth through a strict channel-only policy and the new agreement with Computerlinks is a vital step in achieving European growth targets. “VXL’s investment in Europe is starting to pay off, and we are now seeing significant growth, particularly for the Itona range” said Frank Noon, VP of Sales at VXL, “Computerlinks’s thin client expertise, in particular with Citrix, means that they are an ideal partner for VXL. The appointment is part of VXL’s continued global channel development programme and aggressive growth strategy to achieve 25% market share by the end of 2007. This is the latest in a series of significant milestones for VXL over the last 12 months including $9m in funding, the launch of its new Itona 1GHz product range and the opening of its new European HQ and Logistics centre in Manchester, England.
