Orlando, Fla., October 22, 2006 —VXL Instruments, one of the worlds’s leading manufacturers of Windows based Terminals and Thin Client devices, today announced the launch of a new range of Itona desktop devices designed specifically for the Citrix environment. The TC45xx Desktop and TC46xx Wireless Desktop ranges come with a suite of software chosen by Citrix and VXL to give maximum benefit to the Citrix user. The Itona desktop devices are optimized to operate in a Citrix environment and can be preconfigured with Voice over IP software, Citrix® GotoMeeting™, Citrix® GoToWebinar™, Citrix® Netscaler® client, Citrix Password Manager™ and the Citrix ICA® client.

“We have been working closely with Citrix on this new Itona range for a number of months and the joint input from the two companies make this a unique product,” explained Frank Noon, VXL’s VP of Sales. “It is an ideal package with which to take advantage of the current dramatic growth in the SMB space, particularly in data and telephony convergence.”

The product is also the first thin client to boast the new 1Ghz VIA C7 chipset, which represents an enormous technical breakthrough, and is set to benefit users with new levels of performance being approx 40% more efficient than its predecessor. The new models are also 40% smaller than previous Itona models, whilst retaining VXL’s innovative fanless design which makes them so reliable.

Both Itona models are available with a variety of operating systems – Gio Linux, Microsoft Windows CE and Microsoft Windows XP Embedded. They are fully featured and boast a wide array of connectivity options and every Itona comes with VXL’s latest remote management software, XLmanage Workgroup Edition.
