Manchester, UK, 20th December 2006 — Following the successful launch of its Citrix-dedicated Itona Thin clients in October (see - http://www.vxl.net/media/pressrelease10.html), VXL Instruments is pleased to announce the release of the new Itona Desktop & Wireless Desktop ranges. The TC43xx Desktop and TC44xx Wireless Desktop models are built to a new elegant design which produces a footprint 40% smaller than previous Itona models, whilst retaining the innovative fanless format which produces such high levels of reliability.

VXL is also the first manufacturer to launch products using the new 1Ghz VIA C7 chipset, which represents an enormous technical breakthrough, and is set to benefit users with new levels of performance being approx 40% more efficient than its predecessor. These models are built to a high specification and are backed by VXL’s peerless warranty and worldwide support structure.

Both Itona models are available with a variety of operating systems – Gio Linux, Microsoft Windows CE and Microsoft Windows XP Embedded. They are fully featured and boast a wide array of connectivity options and every Itona comes with VXL’s latest remote management software, XLmanage.
