FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Jan. 29, 2007 —Instruments, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Thin Client devices, is delighted to announce that the new Itona TC45xx Desktop and TC46xx Wireless Desktop ranges have been afforded Citrix® Ready™ status. The Citrix Ready initiative, which is launched today by Citrix Systems, Inc, is designed to help customers identify third-party solutions that add the greatest value in Citrix-driven environments.

The new Itona models were specifically designed for Citrix and have been optimized for the Citrix environment, providing superior performance with Citrix Presentation Server™ and Citrix Access Essentials™. In addition to optimizing the hardware configuration for Citrix environments, the Itona TC45xx and TC46xx models are available with Citrix ICA® clients and Voice over IP software free and pre-installed. Furthermore, embedded links to an optional range of selected Citrix software gives users an unrivalled combination of choice and ease of use.

The new Itonas are available with a variety of operating systems – Gio Linux, Microsoft Windows CE and Microsoft Windows XP Embedded. They are fully featured and boast a wide array of connectivity options and every Itona comes with VXL’s latest remote management software, XLmanage Workgroup Edition.
